The School Foundation's Board of Directors has approved funding up to $143,142.86 in grants for the 2024-2025 school year.  Please review the 2024-2025 general grant information guidelines and complete the grant application by April 11, 2024 if you are interested in submitting a grant for $10,000 or more.  Please contact Debbie Hyler @ This email address is being protected from spambots. 2023-2024 Grants

Empowering Instruction

Briggs Elementary was awarded $12,350 for their grant which will continue the FranklinCovey Leader in Me program designed to aid in the personal and academic growth of all students at Briggs

Makerspaces for Tomorrow's Innovators

F1S' REACH program was awarded $36,353 for their grant which will purchase 12 Makerspace carts (portable carts that are fully equipped with the materials to complete hands-on, collaborative STEM activities) for each elementary school that houses a REACH classroom.

STAR Lab

Florence 1 Schools was awarded $45,831 for their grant, a mobile planetarium that will allow all students in F1S schools to learn about the stars, planets, constellations and many other fascinating S.T.E.M topics.

Florence 1 Achievers - Phase II

West Florence High was awarded $23,200 for their grant which will give a cohort of up to 45 academically gifted students with barriers to learning the ability to take unique advanced classes each of  their four high school years.

Immersed in Innovation with CLASSVR!

John W. Moore Middle School was awarded $32,585 for their grant which will integrate virtual reality in their current curriculum.

Bringing Virtual Reality to the Science Classroom

Southside Middle School was awarded $16,621 for their grant which will fund virtual reality (VR) headsets and software access that will reach approximately 1200 students across three grade levels.
