Jolette Law Bio

 

Jolette Law was a three-time Kodak All-American at Wilson High School, before furthering her basketball career at the University of Iowa. As a four year letter winner and two-time, first-team All-Big Ten Conference selection, Law earned a spot in the Iowa Hall of Fame.

 Following here collegiate career, Law joined the Harlem Globetrotters as the first, and at the time, only female team member. She completed three worldwide tours, and conducted several seminars and clinics in her role as and ambassador of goodwill with the team. During this stint, her picture appeared on the Wheaties cereal box with her teammate.

 Long regarded as one of the top assistant coaches in the country, Law was named the seventh head women’s basketball coach at the University of Illinois. Her previous stint included 12 years at Rutgers, the last four as associate head coach.

 Law is a dedicated member of her community, appearing at countless events and charity functions. She has made appearances on ABC’s Wide World of Sports, the Montel Williams Show and the Vicki Lawrence Show. She has been featured in several magazines, including Sport Magazine, Black Elegance, Ebony, Jet, and People.
